ChefDance is the hottest ticket in town if you can get one. Mimi Kim and Kenny Griswold are the creators of ChefDance at Sundance. A genius idea that started 15 years ago because Kim wanted to share her passion and love for good food with good people. Whether its hosting dinner parties at her beautiful estate in Los Angeles or working on her creation of ChefDance at Sundance, her purpose is to bring people together for an unforgettable evening highlighting accomplished chefs from around the world. Great food pairings, new friends and interesting conversations all around a dinner table. There isn’t anything more perfect.
ChefDance has evolved into the premier 4-night dinner party at Sundance in Park City Utah. Each year Kim and Griswold carefully curate a handful of world-renowned chefs that are capable of marrying two important elements – film and food. This year’s chefs include; Chef Brian Malarkey (top Chef and T.V. host), Michelin Chef and restaurateur Chef Luigi Fineo, James Beard Chef Shawn McClain and Iron Chef America Chef Beau MacMillan.
Before the crew left for Sundance Kim hosted a pre-Sundance ChefDance preview with a delicious and creative 7-course tasting by Chef Luigi Fineo. The dinner party was a first-hand look at what can be expected in Park City this year. It was magical. It was delicious. And if the evening was any indication of what’s to come at ChefDance it’s no wonder that it’s one of the hottest tickets in town.
ChefDance has been a part of Sundance for 15 years. Kim’s love for food and film started with her first ChefDance which she hosted in her home in Park City featuring Food Networks very own Chef Tyler Florence. Since that night ChefDance has been a part of Sundance and this year they celebrate as the official partner of Sundance 2018. This my friends is a really big deal! As the event grows so do the ideas. This year on day 3 there will be a special dinner event called, “49 Remarkable Women and One Really Cool Dude.” Some of the remarkable women that will be in attendance are Gloria Allred and Weight Watchers CEO Mindy Grossman to name a few.
ChefDance events will be held at the Memorial Building at 427 Main Street in Park City January 19th through January 22nd.
