House of Blues Anaheim Gospel Brunch
House of Blues Anaheim
, the venue for World-Class artists, is now complemented by their World Famous Sunday Gospel Brunch. As you might have guessed it, there were lots of singing, dancing, and hands way up in the air followed by dining on some Southern favorites. Last Sunday, I had the opportunity to check out all that was available for the Sunday Brunch at their New Anaheim Gardenwalk location.
Located at the 4th floor of the Anaheim Gardenwalk, The House of Blues Sunday Brunch starts at 10:30am. Tickets purchased via LiveNation
can be picked up at the Will-Call Booth located to the right of the restaurant. Once inside, a hostess will show you to your table. Tables and seats are arranged vertically in 5 rows as well as 2 rows of tabletop seating. (click the LiveNation link above for a pictorial explanation) Though it can be a little tight, I would recommend sitting at the tables especially if you can purchase one for table B, C, or D that’s located in the middle of the show.
Once at your table, get off your feet, grab a plate, and try some of House of Blues popular dishes. They include carving station slow cooked brisket, peel and eat shrimp, creole jambalaya (Most popular dish when I was there) and white chocolate banana bread pudding. Other foods include: Breakfast sausages, apple-wood smoked bacon, new potatoes, buttermilk biscuits and gravy, roasted seasonal vegetables, mac and cheese, baked BBQ chicken, scrambled eggs, french toast, Caesar salad station, made to order omelet station, and a fresh fruit board. Other desserts composed of brownies, danishes, and small cupcakes. Price includes coffee and juice. Unlimited mimosas can be added for an additional $15.
For the Gospel show that opened at 11am, Renaissance Marie Austin
, in a few words was Soul-ful and Inspirational. Their talent of performing traditional hits and contemporary Gospel songs have led everyone off their feet and clap with joy. If you were one of the lucky ones who had a birthday or an anniversary in the same month you attended the show, you might find yourself dancing with them on stage! With popular songs like “Stand by Me” and “Amazing Grace”, you can sing along to with your new brothers and sisters you’ve just met from the next table. And when the gospel songs come on, get off of your feet, wave your napkin for a good time!
Tickets for Gospel Brunch have been announced through end of August. Tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster
and seats can be chosen during the purchasing process. The cost for adult tickets is $45 plus fees, children 3-11 years is $21 plus fees. Children two and under are free. Bring your parking ticket, House of Blues will validate for 3 hours inside the Gardenwalk.
Now that you know everything, go and feed your soul this upcoming Sunday!
