Herencia Mexicana-Performing at Mexican Arts and Cultured Fiesta

If you like to learn a little bit of Mexican art and culture, do I have the perfect family friendly event for you! Musco Center for the Arts, the new state of the art concert hall located inside Chapman University, is hosting two world class Mariachi bands on Sunday May 29th, 6pm:

Mariachi Los Camperos de Nati Cano –Grammy Award Winning band will perform with dancers from Folklor Pasion Mexicana.

Mariachi Reyna de Los AngelesAmerica’s first all-female mariachi ensemble performs with dancers from DanzaArts – Sabor Mexico Dance Company

Prior to the concerts, a FREE family friendly “Mexican Arts and Culture Fiesta” celebration is available from 1p-5pm at the Aitken Arts Plaza.  Activities include panel discussions, folklore dancing, ballet dancing, and a Zumba class. Tickets for the 6pm concert are available in advance at www.muscocenter.org or 844-OC-MUSCO (844-626-8726). Prices range from $20 to $35. (Student discount $10 off; Senior 65+ discount $5 off). Parking for this event will be complimentary in any unreserved space in the Lastinger and Barrera structures on campus.
