I was invited to a Media Preview for the very FIRST 365 by Whole Foods, a new shopping concept for people with a busy lifestyle and rewards offered for actively engaged customers.  Many of you will recognize the 365 label as Whole Food’s private label in their value line product. These same products were made with the quality standards as other Whole Foods products so people can eat better and healthier. Now, 365 by Whole Foods will carry this food movement to a new experience, with simpler shopping and lower prices.

On this visit, similarities and differences with other Whole Foods are seen throughout the store.

Similarities

Keeping with the same quality standards as Whole Foods, you’ll find:

*fresh fruit and produce by the front of the market.

*Same motto of healthy living made easy for everyone

*Organic chicken & grass fed beef

*Baked goods made with caged free eggs and unbleached flour.

*Funding to Whole Kids Foundation.

*An Allegro coffee/beer bar located to the right of the store.

*Hot foods/salad bar

*Smaller Store, unfinished ceilings, industrial look.

*No fish monger, meat butcher, or cheese affineur.

*Digital signage replaces paper signage.

*365 Rewards Program offers insights, offers, and perks with 10% off endcap items (A.K.A. Gimme 10 deals)

*Flash Finds provides value for special one time buys.

*Banquet by Delectable scan-able kiosk is present located by beer and wine making choices simple.

*Pick me up section in the back can be ordered via the Aloha ordering system by the front.

*”Pick me up” section with pizza made with Bianco Dinapoli organic tomato sauce.  Selection of hot dogs include carrot dog, banh mi dog, Seoul Bowl, Greek Town Bowl.

*Home delivery to nearby neighborhood via Instacart.

*Closed ice-like fridge to save on electricity.

*Teabot kiosk brews your own custom tea.

*Different local partners.

*Self checkout.

*By Chloe vegan restaurant connects to the store.

During the tour, the store personnel wouldn’t comment about pricing until tomorrow. And with every sign being digital, there were no prices available in sight for all items. With Convenience, Value, and environmental awareness in mind, I am certain the NEW 365 By Whole Foods are not going to take your “Whole Paycheck“. With new stores set to open in 2017, be on the lookout for one close to you.  But in the mean time if you want to check the store out for yourself, make sure you get there early for the Grand Opening.
