The FunStick, deep fried cheesecake with boysenberry cream cheese

Knotts Berry Farm is having a boysenberry celebration featuring over 70 eats with a boysenberry theme. This year, the FunBun (Funnel Cake and Cinnamon Bun combination from last year’s event) is bringing some new friends to the celebration. But before I introduce them to you, keep in mind these boysenberry inspired treats is available for purchase from March 19-April 3rd with admission to the theme park.  From boysenberry wine to boysenberry craft brew, you can find these drinks and food at Ghost Town, in the heart of the Knotts Berry Farm.

The FunStick-making it’s debut here is a cheesecake on a stick dipped in a funnel cake batter and is topped with a boysenberry cream cheese sauce. If you are a fried food on a stick addict, this is a must order!

Chef Keadle and Boysenberry Panna Cotta

Boysenberry Panna Cotta-Executive Sous Chef Michael Keadle created a Boysenberry Panna Cotta topped with granola and boysenberry sauce.  When asked about why he created this dish, he stated “I wanted to create something light and silky, something that would cleanse the pallet in between tastings”.  Definitely one of my favorites, as it’s not overly sweet or indulgent.

Boysenberry Trifle-It’s the trifecta of sweetness with vanilla cake, topped with boysenberry ice cream, with whipped cream and boysenberry sauce on top.

Boysenberry Short Ribs-For savory bites, there is the boysenberry infused BBQ sauce which is marinated and grilled, served over white rice.

Boysenberry Wings-Though this is not new, I’m always a sucker for chicken wings. Same BBQ sauce from the Short Ribs on the chicken wings, extra napkins please!

FunBun-This is also not new but it’s a MUST. Also a must, is to share this FUNnel cake and CinnaBUN indulgence. (Not responsible if you eat it all and hop on the Xcelerator afterwards)

Also look for: Sweet Boysenberry Flautas, Boysenberry ICEEs, Boysenberry Frappuccinos, Fried Alligator Bites with Boysenberry Aioli, Boysenberry Meatballs and many more!
