Want to know the best kept secret for wine lovers here in So Cal? The Temecula World of Wines showcases food and wine pairing from thirty different wineries. Every winery will pour at least one white wine and one red wine to pair with a food sample. Some wineries will even give you an additional tasting to try out their other varietals.
So if you are a newbie to Temecula, I can’t think of a better way to try their wines than this event. Tastings like this are easily about $12-$15 per winery. With the 2 day ticket costing $99 or a Sunday only ticket costing $79, this is a fabulous way to try out the wineries you’ve always wanted to try as well as squeezing in new ones you’ve never tried before. For you advanced wine drinkers, there are also barrel tastings at some wineries.
This past weekend, I was lucky enough to attend this event again and it’s worth every penny. Ticket holders to World of Wines received a souvenir glass, map of the Temecula Valley, and a passport that allows a visit to the participating wineries. This event allowed the ticket holder to visit at their own pace through a self guided tour of the picturesque Temecula Valley. The view in Temecula is calm, serene, and country like. A much needed sight for travel warriors. So if you want to find a quick getaway with your friends and try some wine, come and visit Temecula World of Wines. This is Southern California’s winery region, which is easily an hour away for our OC friends and about ninety minute for our LA friends. Cheers!
