Sunday February 16th, the Rhone Rangers are coming to Paso Robles and they’re bringing some of America’s leading Rhone producers with them!
Hosted at the Broken Earth Winery, the Paso Robles Rhone Rangers Experience is broken into three events, a morning seminar entitled “Rhone Essentials” led by Master Sommelier Evan Goldstein, a Vintner’s Lunch in which the seminar participating wineries are featured alongside a gourmet banquet lunch prepared by local Chef Jeffrey Scott, and an afternoon Grand Tasting and Silent Auction that will be held from 1:30pm – 3:30pm, featuring over 100 wineries.
Featuring only American wineries that focus on producing Rhone varietals, the Rhone Rangers are one of my favorite organizations and offer not only highly informative seminars but also a casual and relaxed setting in which to taste a variety of high quality wines, often being poured by the winemakers themselves.
Numerous hotels are offering special rates for Rhone Rangers attendees, such as the Paso Robles Inn and La Quinta, so why not make a trip of it and stay through the long weekend. Shuttle services will be provided by Wine Wrangler from select Paso Robles hotels so you can leave the car behind and just focus on enjoying great wines!
Tickets to the seminar and lunch are priced at $85 dollars and include free entry into the Grand Tasting. Tickets for the Grand Tasting and Silent Auction alone are only $35 dollars. Both options can be purchased here.
This Presidents Day weekend, take the short drive up the coast and taste some of the best California has to offer. You won’t be disappointed!
