Firestone Walker Beer Dinner


Friday, September 13th, we attended a Firestone Brewing Company beer dinner at Culina, Modern Italian which is located within the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills. This was our first time dining at Culina and it turned out to be a very special evening.

Firestone Walker’s Brewmaster David Walker selected four unique offerings to pair with Culina’s signature crudo scallops, pork sausage, braised short ribs and of course, dessert. Plus, Firestone provided a SECRET tasting of a beer that BeerAdvocate judges awarded a perfect ‘100’ score. Hint: It was the delicious and dangerous, Sucaba!

First Course

Firestone Pivo Pils – a classic German Pilsner with a hoppy bohemian twist – paired with Cappesante – diver scallop crudo, chili, ginger oil, Tuscan melon and celery leaves.

Second Course

Firestone Pale 31 – California Pale Ale – paired with Salsiccia Casereccia – house made pork and veal sausage, caramelized onions, grilled flatbread and Pale 31 mustard.

Third Course

Firestone DBA – aged in oak barrels to bring out unique flavors such as smoke, vanilla and fruit – paired with Costolette Di Manzo – braised short rib, DBA cheddar grits and beet greens.

Firestone Wookey Jack – Unfiltered Black Rye IPA – paired with Chocolate Pie – chocolate pie, oatmeal and wookey raisin ice cream.
