Smashburger isn’t your typical burger joint. Don’t expect a minimalist menu like other burger chains in the area. Smashburger takes the concept of fresh ingredients and artisan breads to enhance your eating experience. The fast growing burger chain was founded in Denver and has quickly gained a strong following of burger fanatics and food lovers alike.
Smashburger has recently opened locations in Los Angeles with Redondo Beach being the latest addition. We were lucky enough to be invited to sample the impressive menu before the official opening. First came the fries, a delicious plate topped with rosemary, olive oil and garlic. Next were their delicious sweet potato fries, haystack onions and flash fried veggies.
Of course, we were all anticipating the burger, a delicious 100% certified angus burger that can be ordered with plenty of different items. All menus are customized to the area of the country that they reside in so it was no surprise that fresh Asian ingredients were seen on the burger menus in California. We were also treated to Smashburger’s signature shakes made with handspun Haagen-Dazs ice cream.
