The Taste – 2012

On Labor Day weekend, ‘The Taste’ presented by The Los Angeles Times returns once again for  three days of great food, drinks and noteworthy seminars. Unlike last year, all events will be held exclusively at Paramount Studios in Hollywood. A star-studded cast will be in attendance with familiar faces such as Susan Feniger, Ludo Lefebvre, Thomas Keller and that mysterious shadow that’s lurking around L.A., Jonathan Gold.

With so many demonstrations and events to choose from, it’s hard to pick any particular one that we favor so here are the five main events which are happening this year.

Last year’s event was a dizzying display of great chefs, restaurants, wineries and top-notch entertainment. The few events that were held at Paramount Studios really felt like you were transported to a vibrant city street. We were lucky enough to attend last year’s event and it definitely lived up to the hype. We were able to watch several different demonstrations and speaking panels throughout the weekend. We watched four great chefs talk about the ever-growing food scene here in Los Angeles. We captured a great interview with Krissy and Ludo. And last but certainly not least, we watched a young kid  passionately talk about wine and his love of pairing it with food. That young kid turned out to be Justin Warner – this year’s Food Network Star Winner. Here is a small visual of those panels we were able to attend.
